Job Summary Homeland has partnered with a leading manufacturing company who is seeking an experienced Electrical Designer/Drafter to join their team at their U.S. headquarters in Katy, TX. The Electrical Designer/Drafter will play a key role in developing detailed electrical designs and schematics, with a strong emphasis on using AutoCAD Electrical. This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Designer/Drafter who is looking for a long-term career path with opportunities for advancement. The Electrical Designer/Drafter will be part of a collaborative team environment focused on high-quality engineering and continuous innovation. Responsibilities Create technical wiring diagrams, power layout drawings, and specification sheets Generate accurate component lists based on I/O lists, equipment details, and panel specifications Maintain organized control of drawing data and file structures Standardize electrical drawing templates and technical documentation Enhance engineering workflow using AutoCAD Electrical or similar CAD software Ensure all electrical designs meet applicable safety and regulatory standards (e.g., UL, IEC) Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify and resolve design issues Review, revise, and update drawings as project requirements change Keep all project documentation current, accurate, and well-organized Requirements Associate’s degree in Drafting (required) Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in electrical/control panel drafting 3+ years of overall drafting experience is preferred Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical is required Solid understanding of UL and IEC electrical design standards Experience with Autodesk Vault is a plus Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail and effective time management Ability to collaborate within a team and consistently meet project deadlines Self-motivated, proactive, and maintains a positive work attitude Our client offers a generous benefits package which includes medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, as well as short- and long-term disability coverage.
