Overview As a Construction Services Project Manager for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), you will be part of a highly trained and experienced team that performs observations and testing during earthwork and building construction of commercial, institutional, energy, and industrial projects. You will oversee construction quality assurance and code-mandated special inspections projects. Responsibilities: Work with the Construction Services Coordinator to staff projects with field employees that possess the proper skill sets for the job duties. Mentor and manage field technicians/inspectors. Develop safety plans and field staff training manuals. Oversee the Construction Services Manager audit schedule. Perform the final review of daily field reports to verify compliance with the project requirements. Prepare technical reports. Manage project financials - including project estimating, preparation of proposals and change orders, tracking budgets, and communications with clients. Qualifications Bachelor's or Associate’s Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management preferred. 10 years + performing and managing construction inspection and materials testing services on all types of construction projects; with at least 5 years performing geotechnical engineering and/or structural engineering design. Experience in preparation and/or interpretation of geotechnical, architectural, and structural design documents and specifications. Comprehensive understanding of Chapter 17 of the International Building Code and references. Well versed in regional geotechnical practices and construction. Experience and knowledge of the different types of building construction and associated inspections and materials testing, including: Foundation systems, framing systems (structural steel, CFMF, wood), structural concrete (precast and cast-in-place), and structural masonry. Structural connections and fasteners (welded, bolted, other mechanical), and anchoring systems (mechanical, chemical). Sprayed fire-resistive materials, penetration fire-stopping systems, fire and smoke rated barrier construction and associated materials, and finishing systems. Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws regarding construction testing, special inspections, and related reporting and record keeping. #J-18808-Ljbffr
