Full-Time Program Coordinator
to support and co-lead the development and execution of post-secondary and college access programming. This position is ideal for someone with experience in education, advising, or creative youth development who is excited about expanding pathways to college, careers, and community for high school students and alumni. The Program Coordinator will work closely with the Director of Post-Secondary Success and serve as a lead facilitator of college access and post-secondary success workshops and classes, and program collaborator across key initiatives, including direct student support, alumni engagement, mentoring coordination, and volunteer programming. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Program Delivery and Facilitation Lead planning and facilitation of:
College access workshops for students in grades 9–12 First-year college student workshops and alumni engagement sessions Volunteer- and guest speaker-led events
Collaborate on curriculum design and adapt sessions to meet student needs and key deadlines. Represent the Post-Secondary Success team at Community Days, field trips, and partner events. Student & Alumni Support Manage a caseload of approximately 40 high school students on college access support Serve as a secondary point of contact for College Fellows, providing check-ins and logistical support Offer one-on-one and small group guidance to seniors and families. Maintain relationships with alumni and assist with coordinating alumni-facing events and opportunities Volunteer Engagement & Mentoring Coordination Coordinate mentorship sessions, matching logistics, and volunteer communications Support the execution of one-off workshops and industry events with corporate partners Other Assist with program documentation and storytelling efforts Participate in program planning meetings and share input on program growth and student needs Other duties as assigned by the supervisor. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree required Excellent written and oral communication skills Strong facilitation and presentation skills. Strong time management and organizational skills; Detail-oriented Comfortable prioritizing and executing a high volume of administrative tasks Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Google Suite Comfortable working both collaboratively with the Director of Post-Secondary Success and independently. Works effectively with people with diverse styles and backgrounds Must be able to complete and pass an NYC DOE background check PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Interest in using the arts and technology to promote critical pedagogy in school settings At least 2–3 years of relevant experience in college access and readiness programming, preferably guiding graduating students and/or facilitating workshops.
