Minimal requirements include; Highschool diploma A Maryland CNA License at least 1 year of hospital-based experience in the last 2 years Proficient in phlebotomy, starting IV’s, EKG additional terms and conditions apply. Position Details 36 hours/week; benefitted 12-hour shift rotating Clinical Technicians at The Johns Hopkins Hospital have the opportunity to provide highly skilled and compassionate patient- and family-centered care as contributing members of the healthcare team. Ongoing education is provided to all Clinical Technicians to ensure that all techs perform at the highest level of their certification and scope of practice. During your first year, you will have the opportunity to attend eight days of training off the unit, which provide interactive learning activities to support your personal and professional development. The Johns Hopkins Hospital- The Adolescent Care Unit (Bloomberg 10N) is a combination of acute and intermediate levels of care. The staff cares for a full spectrum of acute and chronic medical and surgical patients from the age of 14-21, with chronic vents 9-21. The medical diagnosis includes sickle cell anemia, cystic fibrosis, asthma, diabetes, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, chronic and acute renal failure and, neurological disorders to name a few. Our surgical diagnosis is general, neurologic, orthopedic and urologic. The unit specializes in chronic ventilation and diabetes. One year of clinical experience e.g., home care, outpatient, acute care (hospital preferred) technician experience during the most recent two years in a setting relevant to the unit; volunteer work as EMT or CRT may be considered. Licensure/Certifications Nursing Assistant Certification from the Maryland Board of Nursing required. Current CPR certification Salary Range: Minimum 17.37/hour - Maximum 26.13/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
