Location: Seattle, WA or Dallas, TX
Type: Long-Term Contract
Job Overview
A seasoned Director of Software Delivery to lead complex, enterprise-scale software initiatives, with a strong focus on cloud transformation and technology alignment across multiple workstreams, preferably have worked in Telecom domain projects. You will play a key leadership role in ensuring all delivery streams are aligned with architectural principles, technical best practices, and strategic business goals. This is a technology-focused leadership position, ideal for someone with deep experience in cloud migrations, enterprise architecture, and program-level software delivery management.
Responsibilities
Provide strategic direction and oversight for end-to-end software delivery across multiple business and technical workstreams. Own the technology delivery strategy for large-scale cloud transformation programs, ensuring all streams are architecturally sound, secure, and scalable. Serve as the technology lead for multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring consistency in software architecture, integration patterns, and engineering practices. Partner with cloud architects, platform leads, and business stakeholders to define and execute migration plans (e.g., from on-prem to AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform). Align software delivery roadmaps with enterprise goals, balancing speed, quality, and risk. Establish and enforce engineering governance, including DevOps, CI/CD, quality gates, and technical documentation. Monitor progress across streams and proactively resolve technical blockers or resourcing gaps.
Qualifications
Experience in software engineering, solution architecture, or delivery leadership. Preference to have worked in Telecom domain Proven track record of delivering enterprise-scale cloud transformation programs on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. Strong understanding of modern application architecture (microservices, APIs, containers, serverless, etc.). Deep experience overseeing multiple technical delivery streams or portfolios simultaneously. Hands-on familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and cloud-native DevOps practices. Experience with Agile delivery frameworks (Scrum, SAFe, LeSS) at scale. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across business, engineering, and C-level audiences.
