This role combines technical expertise, project management, and utility industry knowledge to ensure seamless implementations that meet client and industry standards. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end implementation projects for utility billing software deployments Develop and execute project plans, timelines, and resource strategies Coordinate with development, QA, and client services teams Manage multiple concurrent implementations across utility sectors Technical Configuration Configure billing software for complex rate structures, tariffs, and regulations Set up customer info systems, meter data management, and billing engines Design data migration strategies from legacy systems Perform system integration with existing infrastructure like AMI, GIS, and ERP Client Engagement Serve as primary technical contact during implementation Conduct requirements gathering and gap analysis workshops Lead system demos and user acceptance testing Provide training to client staff on system use and best practices Quality Assurance Develop testing protocols for billing accuracy Validate rate calculations and regulatory compliance Ensure data integrity during migration and go-live Document configuration decisions and maintain knowledge base Required Qualifications & Skills 3+ years experience with utility billing software implementations in multifamily real estate Strong SQL skills and data migration experience Proficiency with system integration and APIs Knowledge of utility industry standards and protocols Industry Knowledge Deep understanding of utility business processes and customer lifecycle management Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (PUC, etc.) Familiarity with utility rate structures, tariffs, and billing methodologies Experience with meter reading and consumption algorithms Project Management Skills Proven success managing complex technical projects Excellent organizational skills for multiple projects Experience with project management tools and methodologies Strong problem-solving abilities Communication & Interpersonal Skills Exceptional client communication and presentation skills Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders Effective training and knowledge transfer skills Team-oriented with cross-functional collaboration experience Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field Certifications in utility billing platforms Consulting or professional services experience Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies Knowledge of smart grid and distributed energy resources trends What We Offer Competitive salary based on experience Benefits including health, dental, vision 401(k) plan Professional development and certification reimbursement Flexible, remote work options Opportunity to work with cutting-edge utility tech Career Growth This role offers clear pathways for advancement to roles such as Implementation Manager or Director of Implementations.
