Purpose The purpose of the position is to assist with the management of strategic initiatives and a Plan of Work for Academic, Cooperative Extension, Research, and Experiential Learning, under the direction of the Dean of the College of Agriculture at Lincoln University, an entity with an 1890 land grant mission. Develop partnerships and collaborations that support the growth and stability of the College. This Program Director position reports directly to the Dean of the College of Agriculture, Environmental & Human Sciences/Vice President for Land Grant Engagement. Essential Job Functions Manage key projects, programs, staff, and initiatives as identified by the Dean, including auxiliary departments of the College, ensuring assessment protocols are implemented. Lead and implement a collaborative strategic planning process for the College. Coordinate a master calendar of program events, activities, and benchmarks across the college. Assist faculty with targeted recruitment and enrollment of students, highlighting ongoing research areas. Support administrative staff through training, coaching, and needs assessment for growth and partnerships. Develop community relationships and industry-driven agriculture resources, establishing an ag-business advisory group. Build partnerships with businesses and academic units to create experiential learning opportunities for students. Plan and host college events, conferences, and symposiums for professional development and student engagement. Maintain documentation of meetings, Plans of Work, and activities. Identify emerging technologies impacting education, agriculture, consumers, and the environment. Additional Duties Stay informed on agricultural priorities and strategies supporting best practices. Seek funding to enhance programs. Assist with program preparations on and off-campus. Participate in professional memberships such as ARD, MANRRS, 1890 Scholars, NCAE, CEIA, and others. Qualifications Master's degree in Business, Marketing, Agriculture, or related field required. Five to seven years of higher education or corporate experience with success in goal attainment. Knowledge, Skills, and Characteristics Excellent communication skills. Strong event coordination skills. Ability to work with diverse stakeholders. Budget tracking and reporting skills. Leadership experience in personnel and budget management. Knowledge of the mission of 1890 land grant institutions. Understanding of graduate outcomes in agricultural sciences.
