Job description and duties:
Douglas County District Court Legal Self-Help Center (SHC) provides access to information at the Judicial Center for people who choose to handle their legal matters without a lawyer. The ideal candidate will be an attorney with significant experience in domestic, probate, or other legal matters, and a strong desire to help develop the SHC mission. The Director will supervise staff and volunteers, work with community partners, identify litigant needs, create and update legal forms, develop policies, monitor legal changes, and prepare reports to improve SHC services. The Director must be an attorney in good standing and licensed to practice law. Preferred qualifications include knowledge of court processes, legal terminology, privacy requirements, customer service skills, management experience, computer literacy, and strong communication skills. The salary range begins at $82,299.89, with potential increases after 6 months and one year. Applications are accepted until filled, with review starting July 18, 2025.
