Hire Type: Contract
Key Requirements: • Location: Must live within 25 miles of either: • Charlotte, NC 28277 • Pineville, NC 28134 • Transportation: Must use a personal vehicle to travel between sites (mileage reimbursement provided). • Career Preference: Should not be aspiring to become a pilot.
Role Overview: This is a field operations support role for drone (uncrewed aerial system) operations. The candidate will be responsible for daily setup, maintenance, monitoring, and recovery of drones and their associated equipment.
Core Responsibilities: • Set up and maintain drone nests (launch/landing stations). • Perform pre-flight and post-flight checks on drones. • Monitor and report airspace activity, weather conditions, and obstacles. • Communicate with the Flight Operations Center. • Respond to field service tasks and minor emergencies. • Use a light vehicle (van) to move drones and equipment between sites. • Ensure cleanliness and security of the nest area.
