Job Description Job Description Job Title: Junior Lab Technician Job Summary We are seeking an additional Lab Technician to support work in our Menlo Park, Fremont, and Sunnyvale labs. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, testing and maintaining mechanical and electrical systems, equipment, and machinery in our facility. Key Responsibilities Install, maintain, and test mechanical and electrical systems, equipment, and machinery Maintain lab equipment and keep labs organized Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with mechanical and electrical systems Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to perform tasks Assemble electronics including soldering and unsoldering PCB components Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to resolve issues Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations Operate forklift for material handling, shop organization Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher in mechanical or electrical technology preferred 2 years of experience as a ME/EE technician Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical distribution Experience with liquid heating/cooling systems is a must Experience with troubleshooting and diagnostic techniques Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations, such as OSHA and NFPA Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical documentation Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and teamwork skills Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights Preferred Qualifications Certification as a journeyman electrician or HVAC technician Experience with building automation systems (BAS) and energy management systems (EMS) Experience with project management software and tools
