About the Role:
As a Senior Spacecraft Electrical & Avionics Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and implementation of electrical, electronic, and software systems for our clients advanced spacecraft.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and analyze spacecraft electrical and avionics systems, including power distribution, command and data handling (C&DH), telemetry, tracking, and control (TT&C), communication systems, and sensor interfaces.
Develop and implement embedded software and firmware for spacecraft avionics systems, including real-time operating systems (RTOS), device drivers, and application software.
Create detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and interface control documents (ICDs).
Perform circuit analysis, including power budgets, signal integrity analysis, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) assessments.
Select and qualify electrical and electronic components for use in the space environment, considering factors such as radiation effects and thermal management.
Develop and execute test plans for avionics subsystems and integrated spacecraft systems, including hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) testing and environmental testing.
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, electronic, and software issues during integration and testing phases.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of system-level requirements and specifications.
Collaborate closely with other engineering disciplines (e.g., mechanical, software, systems) to ensure seamless system integration.
Participate in design reviews and present technical findings to stakeholders.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
5+ years of experience in electrical and avionics engineering
Demonstrated experience in the design, analysis, and testing of spacecraft electrical systems.
Strong understanding of software development principles, including embedded systems programming, software architecture, and version control.
Proficiency in programming such as C, C++, and Python.
Experience with real-time operating systems
Familiarity with spacecraft communication protocols and interfaces
Experience with electrical CAD software (e.g., Altium Designer, Eagle) and circuit simulation tools.

Experience with specific spacecraft subsystems (e.g., EPS, C&DH, ADCS, propulsion control).
Familiarity with radiation effects on electronics and mitigation techniques.
Experience with flight software development and testing.
Knowledge of spacecraft assembly, integration, and test (AIT) processes.
Experience with requirements management process
Experience with software development for safety-critical systems.
Knowledge of scripting (e.g., Python, Bash) for test automation and data analysis.
Benefit Highlights
Salary Range: $170,000 - $190,000 DOE
