Job Title: Electrophysiology (EP) TechnologistProfession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Electrophysiology Location: Columbia, SC 29203 Facility Type: Acute Care / Cardiology Specialty Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Shift | 4x10-Hour Shifts | 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM Late Stay Requirement: 1-2 late stay shifts per week On-Call: One on-call shift (8:00 AM - 12:00 PM) during three-day holiday weekends only Weekends: NonePosition Summary:A leading cardiovascular center in Columbia, SC is seeking an experienced Electrophysiology Technologist (EP Tech) for a 13-week contract. The EP Tech will assist in the setup, monitoring, and performance of electrophysiology procedures and will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team supporting cardiac rhythm management.Key Responsibilities:Assist physicians during electrophysiology studies (EPS), ablation, pacemaker, and ICD proceduresSet up, operate, and troubleshoot EP equipment and cardiac mapping systemsMonitor and record patient vitals and procedural data accurately during interventionsMaintain sterile technique during all procedures and support scrub duties as neededPrepare and stock EP lab equipment and supplies; maintain QA/QC logsSupport recovery and post-procedure patient monitoring as neededDocument all procedures using Epic EMR and maintain accurate clinical recordsAssist with tilt table testing if neededParticipate in late shift coverage and limited on-call during holidaysMinimum Requirements:Successful completion of a Health Sciences ProgramMinimum 2 years' experience in Electrophysiology or Cardiac Cath LabMinimum 1 year of scrub experienceProficient in Epic EMR (at least 1 year required)Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, electrophysiology, and sterile techniqueCertifications Required:RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) ORRCES (Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist)SCRQSA certificationBLS/ACLS - Required (AHA preferred)Preferred Experience:Tilt table study assistanceExperience in a large cardiac center or academic setting
