Overview
Molg , a cutting-edge robotics company building modular microfactories that radically rethink how physical products are assembled. Their systems bring software-like flexibility and intelligence to manufacturing-enabling automation that's fast, adaptable, and scalable.
About the Role Molg is seeking a hands-on
Electrical Engineer
to design, prototype, and deploy the electronics at the heart of their robotic automation systems. In this role, you'll work across the stack-from PCB layout and embedded firmware to real-time hardware integration-and collaborate closely with software, robotics, and mechanical teams to deliver systems that are precise, reliable, and production-ready.
You'll play a key part in making the Molg platform modular and extensible by designing custom hardware modules that scale from prototype to production.
What You'll Be Doing
Designing modular, expandable PCBs for robotic tooling, sensors, and actuators Developing and debugging circuit-level systems-from schematics to board bring-up Writing firmware and embedded software for time- and memory-constrained automation workflows Prototyping and iterating early hardware in-house (soldering, troubleshooting, testing) Collaborating across engineering teams to ensure system-level coordination Sourcing key components and helping standardize internal hardware development practices Contributing to reusable electronics architecture to accelerate future development What We're Looking For
1-3 years of professional (non-internship) experience as an Electrical Engineer Strong background in custom PCB and circuit design using electrical CAD tools Hands-on experience with hardware bring-up, soldering, testing, and debugging Proficiency with C and RTOS for embedded development Ability to design across electrical, firmware, and system-level constraints Bonus: experience with Python and/or Zephyr RTOS Must be available to work onsite full-time in Sterling, VA
Why Join At Molg, you'll help build intelligent factories from the ground up. This is an opportunity to work on real-world systems at the intersection of hardware and automation-where every design decision directly shapes how products are made.
