Job Duties
About the Team
At Geisinger, youll work alongside a dedicated, multidisciplinary team of pediatric emergency professionals, including:
- Over 50 certified Pediatric Emergency Medicine nurses across the system
- In-house Pediatric Hospitalists and Neonatologists available 24/7
- Certified Child Life Specialists to support children and families during care
- Advanced practice providers (APPs) and emergency medicine physicians
- Fellowship-trained PEM physicians who lead initiatives in education, quality improvement, and clinical innovation
- Collaborative subspecialty support from nearly every pediatric medical and surgical specialty within our 90-bed childrens hospital
- A culture of team-based care, continuous learning, and shared decision-making
Practice Highlights
- 9-bed pediatric emergency zone at GMC designed with infants, children, and teens in mind
- 15% pediatric admission rate
- Dual faculty appointment in Emergency Medicine & Pediatrics
- 1,544 clinical hours/year for optimal work-life balance

- Starting salary: $350,000
- Fellowship stipend: $2,500/month from offer acceptance to graduation
