Role Overview As an Endoscopy Tech, you will support GI/Endoscopy procedures under the guidance of a GI/Endoscopy Nurse. Your responsibilities will include: Maintaining a sanitary environment for patients. Demonstrating knowledge of high disinfection and sterilization of endoscopy equipment. Preparing the endoscopy unit, ensuring that necessary equipment and supplies are available. Cleaning GI treatment rooms between procedures and prepping for the next case. Assisting with the maintenance and labeling of specimens, and collaborating with the surgical team to identify and pass specimens to the circulating RN. Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program is preferred. One year of acute care experience, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center. Valid BCLS Certification upon employment (online certification not accepted).
