GI/Endoscopy Tech at Gastroenterology East, P.A. & Endoscopy Center:

• The GI technician/Endoscopy functions under the direct supervision of a surgeon to assist with the operation of technical equipment used during simple and complex endoscopic procedures.
• The physician, registered nurse and the GI technician work as a team in the procedure room to provide the optimal conditions in achieving positive patient outcomes.
• The GI technician is also responsible for cleaning, disinfecting and maintaining endoscopes and other instrumentation.
• Other GI technician responsibilities include facilitating patient flow, room turnover. Stocking procedure rooms, ordering supplies and performing a variety of clerical duties.
  

Qualifications
Education:

• High School Diploma, or equivalent
  

License/Certification:

• BLS Certification
  

Required Experience:

• Preferred two years experience in endoscopy.
