nJob Summary of Roles and Responsibilities
nThe Power Delivery Substation Business Unit is currently applications for an entry-level Electrical Engineer to work in the Substation Department in our Saint Louis, Missouri office.
nResponsibilities

The position entails performing detailed design of low to extra-high-voltage substations and switchyards.
n n - n
Typical designs include one-line diagrams, protection, and control schematic development, wiring diagrams, SCADA, communications, substation physical layouts, material lists, conduit and cable sizing/routing, AC and DC systems calculations and sizing, and substation grounding. The Entry Level Electrical Engineer will participate in QA/QC processes as part of the learning curve.

Required Education/Experience

BSEE (BS Electrical Engineering) or BSEET (BS Electrical Engineering Technology) degree, from an ABET-accredited university, preferably with a power option.

Strong knowledge and understanding of electrical engineering to build on.

3 months of relevant work experience; could be on an internship or co-op basis.

Candidates should enjoy living in the Saint Louis area, or have a desire and ability to relocate there with minimal assistance.

The candidate must have a strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills in order to work effectively with internal team members and external client personnel.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorship.

Knowledge of electrical utility substations and familiarity with substation design.

Engineer In Training certificate (EIT) or passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
