SCD Information Technology is currently seeking full-time Systems Engineer levels 1, 2, and 3 to join our dynamic and growing team. SCDIT has been supporting a large Intelligence Community agency as a prime and subcontractor for nearly three decades and we are searching for cleared, well-qualified systems engineers to fill many open positions. Description:
Systems Engineers are responsible for assessing systems, determining problems, providing solutions to issues that arise; designing, upgrading, and maintaining systems; and brainstorming potential future improvements. SEs will apply systems engineering principles throughout the system lifecycle, manage requirements, develop system designs, coordinate cross-discipline issues, and potentially participate in Integrated Product Teams to enhance national defense capabilities.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Analyzes user's requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications.
- Analyzes system requirements and leads design and development activities.
- Guides customers in formulating requirements, advises alternative approaches, and conducts feasibility studies.
- Provides technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology.
- Incorporates new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations.
- Develops technical and system architecture and system design documentation.
- Guides system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans.
- Ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility.
- An active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required.
- Bachelor's degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline college or university plus five (5) - 20+ years of systems engineering experience. OR Master's degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline college or university plus five (5) - 10 years of systems engineering experience. OR PhD in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline college or university plus three (3) years of systems engineering experience.
- AWS experience and certifications are ideal.
- CSEP certification or equivalent.
Desired Additional Skills:
- AWS experience and certifications are ideal.
- ESEP certification or equivalent.
Salary Range: $80,000 - $220,000
The pay range is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. These considerations include, but are not limited to, government contract labor categories and wage scale, the extent and intricacy of the role's responsibilities, the candidate's educational background, their work experience, and the specific competencies crucial for success in the role.
