Job Summary The Director of Business Intelligence will lead the enterprise analytics strategy, working closely with senior IT leadership and the Data Engineering team. You will oversee BI architects, analysts, and developers to deliver insights that inform strategic and operational decisions, fostering a data-driven culture across Sundt. Key Responsibilities Provide strategic leadership for the BI team, setting vision and fostering a culture of data integrity and excellence. Collaborate with stakeholders to align BI strategy with enterprise goals and ensure scalable data practices. Promote data literacy and self-service analytics organization-wide. Lead development of dashboards, KPIs, and advanced analytics to support decision-making. Ensure data accuracy, visualization quality, and best practices in validation and design. Translate business needs into scalable BI solutions, incorporating predictive models and machine learning as applicable. Establish and enforce standards for BI development, data definitions, and reporting consistency. Support data governance initiatives, ensuring data lineage, security, and compliance. Act as a liaison between IT, business functions, and data engineering to align BI initiatives. Evaluate and oversee BI tools and platforms for performance and usability. Qualifications 7+ years of BI leadership experience, managing enterprise reporting and analytics platforms. Strong analytical storytelling skills and proficiency in BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, SQL, and cloud platforms. Experience with data governance, quality standards, and enterprise reporting. Business acumen, especially in construction or project-based industries. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field; advanced certifications preferred. Experience supporting construction, engineering, or related industries is a plus. Proven success in leading business transformation through data and analytics. Frequent interaction with people and technology. Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. Sitting, standing, or walking for extended periods.
