Job Description Insight Global is seeking a qualified Secret Enterprise Architect in support of a large federal client in Norfolk, VA. This candidate will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of enterprise-wide IT architecture supporting naval ship and submarine maintenance operations. Responsibilities include: Leading architecture efforts for Navy ship and submarine maintenance systems used by over 45,000 users worldwide. Designing and implementing cloud-based enterprise IT architectures, integrating legacy systems with modern web applications. Guiding technical teams through the full architecture lifecycle, from planning and design to deployment and sustainment. Applying SAFe Agile practices to improve team workflows and architectural processes. Ensuring system security and compliance with DoD standards and cybersecurity requirements. Developing and maintaining architecture documentation, standards, and best practices. Staying current on emerging technologies, especially in cloud computing and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Collaborating with stakeholders to balance customer needs with long-term technology strategy. Overseeing integration of systems across multiple platforms and operating systems. Supporting accreditation and testing of enterprise systems in a distributed, net-centric environment. Skills and Requirements Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field with 19 years of experience as an Enterprise Architect (or Bachelor's degree with 24 years of experience). Active DoD Security clearance. Expertise in designing, deploying, and managing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions within secure DoD environments. Proven ability to architect and integrate core cloud infrastructure services. Deep understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies. Strong leadership in guiding cross-functional technical teams through the enterprise architecture lifecycle. Certifications: CompTIA Security+, AWS, Windows, or Red Hat (RHEL). Experience with Navy maintenance systems or other large DoD programs. SAFe certification (Agilist, Architect, or similar). Skilled in building systems across different platforms and operating systems. Knowledge of DoD and Navy standards for system design and integration.
