position. About The Job
As a
Scientific Programmer/Data Scientist , your responsibilities include: Constructing datasets from various sources for research. Designing, implementing, and maintaining data processing and analysis infrastructure; ensuring data and code integrity and security. Designing and executing computational experiments to evaluate machine learning algorithms and analyze biomedical data. Developing and modifying software and algorithms; creating documentation for all software and experiments. Writing technical reports and publications, and presenting results to stakeholders. Mentoring junior data scientists. Qualifications
Required: M.A./M.S. in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Physics, Informatics, or related field with research experience. Experience with Matlab, Python, or R. Experience with SQL or other database technologies. Proven ability to write complex code independently; provide code samples or links. Knowledge of machine learning and statistical methods. Strong communication skills. Preferred: Experience with messy real-world data, high-performance computing, data visualization, and publishing scientific papers. Additional Information
