GENERAL MACHINE OPERATOR Description: AmeriStaff is currently seeking an experienced Flexo Folder Gluer Machine Operator to fill an opening with a company that manufactures corrugated sheets. The ideal candidate should have experienced in operating wet-out machines, corrugated box machines, and flexo folder gluer machines.
Benefits of the Flexo Folder Gluer Machine Operator: Full time, temp to permanent position. Monday-Friday. 7:00am-3:30pm. Extensive benefits package. Year-end bonus opportunities. Pay: $16.00 per hour.
Responsibilities of the Flexo Folder Gluer Machine Operator: Support machine operation by assisting with the setup of orders according to customer specifications, following order readiness process of efficiently preparing the right tools to complete the job. Assist the operator in performing quality checks by inspecting a first article, and articles throughout the order to identify errors, ensuring quality product along with monitoring equipment and raw materials. Support the operator in monitoring production metrics to accurately track progress of production rates, quality, maintenance, and downtime. Fold and glue a die-cut sheet of packaging material into the requested shape. Feed printed sheets into the flexo folder gluer machine. Make manual adjustments as needed based on the specification of the order. Proactively communicate issues with equipment to appropriate leaders, and assist with trouble shooting, and problem solving to maximize overall equipment efficiency and minimize downtime. Intermittently assist with minor repairs to equipment in partnership with maintenance team. Maintain a clean and organized work area by following post order cleaning process. Follow plant safety processes and procedures outlined for the machine center. Other duties, as assigned. Requirements: Requirements of the Flexo Folder Gluer Machine Operator: Experience working a corrugated box machine and wet-out machine. Experience operating manufacturing machinery preferred. Mechanical aptitude and trouble shooting ability. Must be able to read and understand blueprints/job order cards. Excellent organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to lift up-to 50lbs on a frequent to semi-frequent basis. Required to take a math and ruler test. Follow all safety rules and regulations. Job Type:
