Overview
The Epic Optime Systems Analyst II is responsible for configuring, documenting, testing, modifying, and maintaining Epic applications. The Epic Optime Systems Analyst II works with other analysts and operational counterparts to maintain continuity in process and in support of our integrated Epic electronic medical record. Epic Systems Analyst II positions actively participate in new system enhancement projects along with managing tickets and maintaining the system. Project work may be independent and or guided by more senior members of the Epic team, depending on complexity.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Serve as subject matter expert in ambulatory surgery/procedural workflows (GI, Pain, etc.) across all phases of care Manage and optimize case entry, case scheduling, preference cards, implants, inventory, and materials management Support and enhance components including grease boards, e-consents, Slicer Dicer, Workbench Reporting, workflow engine rules, menus, activities, navigators, and flowsheets Provide technical and operational support across 2-3 Epic modules Dedicate ~60% of time to operational support and quarterly system updates Dedicate ~20% of time to enhancements and project-based optimization Act as liaison between I&T and clinical operations to identify functional and technical improvement opportunities Investigate complex errors and coordinate detailed root-cause resolutions Document workflows and system tools with clarity and consistency Serve as subject matter expert in Epic Optime/ASC within cross-functional IT project teams Participate in release note review, testing, and execution for quarterly updates and system upgrades Provide after-hours on-call support on rotation Mentor Analyst I team members and support vendors on internal processes and technical practices KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

EDUCATION and/or CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE
Bachelor's Degree preferred; equivalent experience considered Epic Optime Certification required (additional Epic certifications preferred) Surgical/procedural workflow experience preferred EXPERIENCE
2+ years required (4+ preferred) of hands-on experience in Epic Optime/ASC workflows Familiarity with build, implementation, and support of clinical and surgical operations Experience supporting process improvements, reporting, and credentialing workflows within surgical/procedural environments Strong background in healthcare operations and technology coordination
The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $67,953.60 - $101,930.40, with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
