Your role will be essential to our operations, ensuring that your contributions are valued and impactful within Kiewit Nuclear Solutions. The position is located in Lenexa, KS or Oak Ridge, TN. Responsibilities
Perform integrated engineering analyses to fulfill project requirements and achieve target dates.
Author and review designs, specifications, analyses, and drawings in compliance with engineering principles and applicable standards.
Prepare and review design concept drawings and models for equipment using input from various technical disciplines.
Recognizes, defines, and resolves problems within assigned area
Compliance with strict quality assurance standards and on time delivery
Travel (less than 25% of time) Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited, four-year university.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in design for mid-level; Minimum of 15 years of design experience for senior level.
Professional engineering license is preferred.
Proficiency in the ASME B31.1 and B31.3 piping codes.
Familiarity with the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code and other applicable industry codes and standards for the design and procurement of nuclear-grade equipment.
Proficiency in working with 3D models and Bentley AutoPipe software for analyzing piping systems and applied loading conditions.
Knowledge of engineering design practices and principles (e.g. design checking and verification, interference checks, tolerance stack-ups, equipment space envelopes, GD&T)
Experience working with engineers and fabricators to develop designs and drawings.
Experience in the preparation and review of PFDs, P&IDs, piping isometric drawings, pipe support details, and General Arrangement drawings for piping systems and equipment packages.
Excellent attention to detail and capability for producing error-free documents.
Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
