Job Title: 3rd Shift Post-Event Custodial Crew Member Location: Van Andel Arena, Grand Rapids, MI Job Type: Part-Time / 3rd Shift / Event-BasedJob Summary: We are looking for reliable, hard-working individuals to join our 3rd Shift Post-Event Custodial Team. In this role, you will be responsible for cleaning and resetting the arena after events to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for the next day's guests. This is a physically active, team-oriented position that requires attention to detail, the ability to take direction, and the discipline to work independently and efficiently.Key Responsibilities:Clean assigned sections of the arena, including seating areas, aisles, concourses, restrooms, and other public spaces.Pick up trash, cans, bottles, and debris left behind after events.Sweep, mop, and sanitize floors, including in high-traffic and food service areas.Empty and reline trash and recycling containers throughout the venue.Climb stairs frequently and work at heights when assigned to upper levels.Operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning solutions safely and properly (training provided).Follow all directions from custodial supervisors and work closely with your team to meet cleaning standards and deadlines.Maintain focus and stay on task when working independently on large assignments.Remain on-site until all tasks are completed and the supervisor officially dismisses the crew.Work nights, weekends, holidays, and multiple consecutive days depending on the event schedule.Requirements:Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting, bending, climbing stairs, and walking.Willingness to work late-night/early-morning hours until the job is complete.Comfortable working from heights and navigating multi-level sections of the arena.Ability to follow instructions and accept feedback without issue.Strong attention to detail and personal accountability for completing assigned tasks.Dependable and punctual, with a team-first attitude.
