The University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College Allied Health Department invites applications for our Expanded Functions Dental Auxiliary (EFDA) adjunct faculty general pool of candidates from which part time faculty will be selected for the upcoming term (as needed). The University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College is one of the largest regional colleges in Ohio. The college is in Blue Ash, Ohio fifteen miles north of the uptown campus, on 135 acres in a park-like setting. We offer primarily associate degrees in career and transition programs, as well as general education courses and technical baccalaureate degrees to approximately 5,100 students. Job Overview
EFDA part-time Faculty responsibilities include: Assisting in the team teaching of preclinical instruction for the EFDA Program. Classes will meet weekly on Friday afternoons during fall and spring semesters. Teaching is assigned on an as-needed, semester-by-semester basis. Essential Functions
I. Primary Functions Evaluation and grading of student's work on typodonts in a lab setting Evaluate learning and provide feedback for skill development Evaluation and grading of students' work Solicit questions to reinforce student's clinical critical thinking skills Effective in communicating with staff and students Model exemplary professional skills and behavior II. Secondary Functions Assist in administration of handouts and other educational materials Assist in monitoring supply inventory Assist in monitoring student's progress Assist in management of difficult learners and dysfunctional behavior Assist in observing students to identify learning needs Assist in fostering development of a competent clinician Assist in lab preparation Attend staff meetings for curriculum revisions, student issues, problems, and decision making Required Education
Minimum of an Associate degree or higher Required Trainings/Certifications
Must be a Registered EFDA in Ohio as verified in OSDB eLicense portal OR as licensed DDS/ DMD Required Experience
Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience Additional Qualifications Considered
Prior teaching experience
