The Department of Urology at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is seeking a Pediatric Urologist to join our growing Department. Among the top programs in the country, MUSC Pediatric Urology operates within the Department of Urology and offers a comprehensive selection of services. This Pediatric urology faculty opportunity includes: Inpatient and Outpatient Clinical responsibilities, access to Da Vinci Robotics, Interests in Research and Program Development, the opportunity to develop a Pediatric Urology Fellowship along with supervision and teaching of residents and medical students. Our Pediatric Urologists provide care in the Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital, a 250-bed facility with a full range of pediatric medical and surgical subspecialties. The outpatient clinics are held at the state-of-the-art pediatrics subspecialty Summey Medical Pavilion in North Charleston. Our Urology Residency Program includes 15 residents and 2 fellows. We are devoted to training the next generation of young physicians, delivering academically and clinically equipped leaders to the field of urology. This position is open for assistant/associate professor level candidates. Academic rank/appointment will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Requirements include eligibility for medical licensure in the State of South Carolina, Board certification in Urology, and subspecialty certification/eligibility in Pediatric Urology. (Infrequent) Ability to lower objects, up to 15 lbs., from height of 36 inches to floor level, unassisted. (Infrequent) Ability to push/pull objects, up to 15 lbs., unassisted. (Infrequent) Ability to maintain 20/40 vision, corrected, in one eye or with both eyes. (Continuous) Ability to see and recognize objects close at hand. (Frequent) Ability to see and recognize objects at a distance. (Frequent) Ability to determine distance/relationship between objects; depth perception.
