Turret And Press Brake Setup Operator

Surestaff is immediately hiring a Turret and Press Brake Setup Operator for our client in Saint Charles, IL. The Turret and Press Brake Setup Operator is responsible for the setup, tooling and loading in machines to produce a variety of small, medium and/or large parts, ranging from simple to complex, which are within prescribed tolerances. Surestaff is invested in their team members! Available shifts:

• 1st shift, 7:00am-3:30pm
• 2nd shift, 4:30pm-1:00am

Responsibilities of the Turret & Press Brake Setup Operator:

• Report problems with quality, processes, equipment and/or materials to Supervisor or Quality Control Specialist (QC)
• Setup and operate machines, independently with limited supervision
• Ensure the work area is kept clean and free from hazards
• Collaborate with other departments as needed
• Assist in departmental measurable goals relating production concerns, quality and efficiency
• Assist in monthly inventory count to ensure proper inventory control

Preferred Qualifications of the Turret & Press Brake Setup Operator:

• Ability to work at fast pace, follow instructions and be self-motivated
• Excellent math skills including fractions, and geometry
• Ability to read measuring equipment, calipers and other tools
• Ability to read blueprints and calculate bend allowances
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. routinely and stand for minimum of 8 hours
• CAD or drafting experience is a plus
• 1-2 years minimum experience with Press Brakes (Amada exp. preferred, Amada HDS, HG Press Brakes and Cincinnati Press Brakes a plus)
• Previous experience a plus: Amada Vipros, Amada EMK, Amada AE, Turret Press Machine, Mitsubishi Laser
