The Engineer monitors, supports, and regularly updates key infrastructure for Enterprise Virtualization, Storage & Backup, Server Operations, or Software Support. Responsibilities Advise end users and application partners on administration tasks for supporting a complex compute environment. Document all configurations, changes, and proposed changes. Ensure the control, integrity, and accessibility of compute environments through compliance and industry best practices. Monitor the IT Service Management system queue for work orders, tasks, and incidents, responding as per SLAs. Provide advisory technical support to internal and external users and act as a team escalation point for Level 1-3 engineers. Troubleshoot problems and take corrective actions promptly and effectively.
Supervision
No direct reports. Internal Relationships include: Data Center Engineer I-III Senior Data Center Engineer Database Administrator I-III Senior Database Administrator Network Engineer
Qualifications
Required Education:
HS Diploma or GED Desired Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology Acceptable Fields of Study:
Computer Information Systems, Information Technology Required Relevant Experience:
7 years Desired Relevant Experience:
7+ years Required Knowledge, Abilities, Skills
Perform advanced troubleshooting of systems and infrastructure. Demonstrate advanced proficiency in Windows and/or Linux operating systems. Perform advanced administration tasks on systems and infrastructure.
Desired Knowledge, Abilities, Skills
Infrastructure certifications such as: Commvault Certified Master, VMware VCDX, MSCE: Windows Server Administrator, RHCE, Certified NetApp Support Engineer Specialist, or Dell Technologies Certified PowerMax & VMAX Family Solutions Operate. Special Position Requirements
