Position Overview:

Our client is seeking an experienced, strategic, and entrepreneurial General Manager to lead the launch and growth of its North American operations. This role offers a rare and exciting opportunity to build a business from the ground up—with the backing of a successful and well-established European organization.

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with a strong commercial mindset and a deep understanding of the project logistics sector. They will be expected to take full ownership of the regional operation, from business development and team building to operational execution and financial performance.

This is not a traditional corporate role—it is best suited to a dynamic, self-motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is energized by the challenge of establishing and growing a business in a new market. The General Manager will be instrumental in shaping the company’s North American presence and will work closely with the executive team in Europe to ensure alignment with global strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Market Entry & Strategy:
• Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for launching and scaling the company’s North American operations.
• Operational Leadership:
• Lead all aspects of regional operations including project planning, transportation logistics, warehousing, and regulatory compliance.
• Business Development:
• Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.
• Team Building & Management:
• Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performance team. Foster a results-driven culture aligned with the company’s global standards and values.
• Oversee P&L management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for North American activities.
• Compliance & Risk Management:
• Ensure full adherence to local regulations, safety standards, and international logistics protocols.

Candidate Profile:

• Minimum of 10 years' experience in logistics, supply chain, or project freight forwarding, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven track record in leading operations or business expansion within the North American logistics market.
• Strong commercial acumen and an established network within the energy, infrastructure, or industrial sectors.
• Outstanding leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate autonomously while executing strategic objectives.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related discipline (MBA preferred).
• Willingness to travel as required.
