Our team supports Systematics and proprietary mainframe applications for a LFI (Large Financial Institution) client. Primary responsibilities include supporting these applications via designing/developing/implementing software solutions per client specification and researching production issues. We are looking for a talented resource to be a part of this dynamic team that will grow with the growth of the solution. General Duties & Responsibilities
Provides application software development services or technical support typically in a defined project. Develops program logic for new applications or analyzes and modifies logic in existing applications. Codes, tests, debugs, documents, implements and maintains software applications. Makes recommendations towards the development of new code or reuse of existing code Ensures system improvements are successfully implemented. Analyzes requirements and translates business requirements into product designs. Writes technical specifications and other forms of documentation. Suggests technical alternatives and improves/streamlines processes and systems. Completes project assignments and special projects commensurate with job expectations. Conducts planning, analysis and forecasting activities to plan projects and tasks. Provides leadership and/or guidance to junior programmers and other technical professionals Participates in the programmer on call rotation Other related duties as assigned Education Requirements
A bachelor's degree in computer science or information systems or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience. General Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of a wide range of development and debugging tools, techniques and methodologies Experience with COBOL, JCL and working in a mainframe environment Knowledge of FIS Systematics systems and the financial services industry Experience with the GN (Architecture Systems), RM (Relationship Management) and/or MA (Monetary Access) applications Experience with Assembler programming and CICS is a plus Excellent analytical, problem-solving and time management skills Ability to successfully manage multiple concurrent tasks Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization, e.g., executive, management, individual contributors Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment Ability to work independently and intuitive ability to prioritize assignments Knowledge of end-to-end systems development life cycles, i.e., waterfall, iterative and other modern approaches to software development Resourceful and proactive in gathering information and sharing ideas FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $96,120.00 - $161,490.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
