The Sr. Facilities Engineer is supporting our Coventry, RI facility and is responsible for overseeing the operations of plant and facilities equipment, while providing focused engineering support for renovations, facility upgrades, retrofits, modernizations, and repairs. This role collaborates with the site quality representative on improving awareness, visibility, and communication on initiatives to support departmental, functional, site, divisional and corporate quality goals and priorities. The incumbent will develop, establish, and maintain engineering methodologies, systems, and practices to meet regulatory, customer and organizational requirements. Your responsibilities will include: Managing and supporting construction projects in all aspects (i.e. programming requirements, commissioning, room validation and manufacturing equipment installation); perform design reviews; value engineering and life cycle cost analysis Managing and supporting the installation, maintenance and repair of sterilization equipment and the infrastructure directly supporting operations Overseeing the maintenance, operation and adjustments made on sterilization equipment, building automation systems and HVAC equipment (i.e., boilers, chillers, pumps, air handling units, air compressors, CHP, and process gas systems) Supporting the negotiations and management of facility maintenance contracts Consulting with the Global Energy Team on site energy requirements and carbon footprint; perform gap assessments on current state and design roadmap to meet targets Supporting and participating in global facilities initiatives regarding renewable energy goals Cross-training staff on sterilization equipment, facilities operations and maintenance activities; provide technical guidance for identifying and resolving facilities-related operational issues Identifying and implementing effective commissioning and validation, and supporting the development, qualification Working with EH&S teams to ensure a safe and compliant work environment; support quality disciplines, decisions, and practices Required qualifications: BS Degree in Engineering (mechanical, electrical or similar) 5+ years of engineering experience Working knowledge of EPA and DEM regulations Must have preventative maintenance experience Experience with building management systems controls (i.e. air, water, gas, boiler, etc.) Ability to respond to facility operational issues that arise outside of regular work hours Ability to respond and manage critical situations in a timely manner, including after hours when necessary Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, MS Project etc.) Preferred qualifications: Project Management (PMP) or Facilities Management (FMP or CFM) certification Working knowledge of air pollution control and sterilization equipment experience Experience working in the medical device, pharmaceutical or similar GMP environment Working knowledge of AutoCAD Must be organized and results-oriented; ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize competing tasks Ability to communicate effectively with individuals on all levels (written and verbally) Customer service-oriented with high sense of urgency and ability to work well under pressure; flexible Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills; analytical and process-driven Strong interpersonal skills with ability to develop and maintain relationships Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs.
