Washington State University Tri-Cities College of Nursing invites applications for caring, committed nurse practitioners to work as part-time Clinical Faculty Evaluators (CFEs) in the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program. This is an exceptional opportunity for a nurse practitioner who wants to make an impact working with DNP students but prefers a lower time commitment as an Adjunct Clinical Faculty. In this role, you will work with a small number of DNP students that are currently engaged in clinical activities. You will correspond collaboratively with the DNP student and their preceptor at their clinical agency throughout the semester to ensure the student is meeting skills competencies related to expected student learning outcomes. Additionally, you will provide meaningful feedback to the students to aid in their professional development. We are seeking candidates with clinical experience in any of the following nursing specialties: Adult-Geriatric Practitioner Family Nurse Practitioner Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner This is a non-tenure track position with the opportunity for a 4.5-month appointment, depending on availability and need. Successful candidates will be assigned to one of the following departments within the College of Nursing, based on specialty and experience, unless a specific department preference is provided in the application materials. Please take a few moments to read more about each department: The Foundational Practice and Community Based Care Department The Advanced Practice and Community Based Care Department The Nursing Systems and Science Department Adjunct faculty are faculty who may hold positions with employers other than WSU and are appointed temporarily to a WSU faculty position. Adjunct faculty are typically fixed-term, providing clinical instruction for traditional semester-long courses for 4.5 months (Fall and Spring Semesters). The adjunct faculty appointment contains no guarantee of continued employment beyond the semester assignment. Required qualifications in the Graduate DNP Program: A Master's Degree in Nursing -OR- Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree 2 years of experience as a nurse practitioner Licensure or eligible for license as a registered nurse and nurse practitioner in the State of Washington. Licensure or eligible for license as a registered nurse in the State of Washington. Preferred Qualifications for All Positions: Previous experience as an educator, preceptor, or clinical evaluator. This is a part-time, fixed-term position. This position is overtime ineligible. This position generally works in Benton or Franklin counties. Salary: The hourly rate for a WSU Tri-Cities College of Nursing Clinical Faculty Evaluator (CFE) is $58/hr. Area/College: College of Nursing Location: Richland, WA 99352 Time Type: Part-time FTE: Variable Appointment Term: 4.5 months (1 semester) Overtime: Ineligible Appointment Periods: Fixed-term positions are expected to end on either December 31, for Fall Semester, or May 15, for Spring Semester. Renewal is dependent on the need for extension. Fall Semester: August 16, 2025 through December 31, 2025 Spring Semester: January 01, 2026 through May 15, 2026 Screening Date: Applications will be continuously screened.
