Information Technology's Client Services is looking for an applicant to fill the position of IT Coordinator. This position will support the department network environment and academic user support. Maintain hardware and software used by faculty, staff, and students. Develop software/equipment/online training materials for laboratories and online learning environments. Train faculty and students for on campus and online learning environments. This position will also serve as a technical liaison, identify funding opportunities and plan development and acquisition of hardware and software. Participate in departmental meetings. Develop software/equipment/online training manuals and materials for laboratories and online learning environments. Train faculty and student workers on software and hardware for on campus and online learning environments. Install and configure hardware and software as required. Configure and maintain remote sites. Maintain server and client systems, including hardware, software, network hardware, security systems and telecommunication systems. Interface with users (on and off campus) in support of problem resolution with respect to computing facilities and applications. Develop and maintain operating software and application software and in-house systems. Work with departmental faculty and student workers to design, coordinate and maintain college web pages. Plan the development and acquisition of hardware and software. Design and maintain informational databases for the department. Perform all other duties as assigned by the department head. Research: Identify and pursue external funding for technology. Participate in interdisciplinary grant development and research activities. Service: Serve as the technical liaison for the department. Participate in college and university committee activities as needed. Participate in professional association activities. Participate in departmental activities and projects. Qualifications: Relevant work experience in PC and LAN problem identification and resolution, content delivery systems (i.e. Canvas), online learning and testing systems, web page development and maintenance, Windows 11, and the Windows Server Family. Knowledge of programming languages, software packages and systems for online learning. Self-motivated, independent thinker with good oral and written communication skills, ability to resolve problems independently and have the ability to write policies, procedures and guidelines for electronic course delivery and systems use. Ability to work with and obtain cooperation of a variety of individuals, flexibility, initiative, and organizational skills to prioritize and meet deadlines.
