ERM is seeking a
Technical Director
to join our
Site Investigation and Remediation (SIR)
technical team. This role involves providing technical strategy and project support on PFAS site investigation and remediation for clients across various regions, including US and Canada. We welcome applicants from various locations within these countries. Responsibilities
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on PFAS, supporting site investigation, remediation, product stewardship, and compliance projects. Collaborate with North American leadership to develop a global PFAS market strategy. Lead and provide technical oversight on complex site investigation and remediation projects in the chemical, manufacturing, oil & gas, and industrial sectors. Design and oversee remedial solutions for contaminated soil, groundwater, vapor, and sediment, utilizing innovative technologies. Assist clients in developing and implementing site management strategies. Evaluate remedial technologies for specific sites, including feasibility assessments. Perform remediation design, data evaluation, calculations, cost estimation, and report preparation. Delegate project tasks and mentor junior staff. Prepare technical proposals and support business development efforts. Foster collaboration within ERM's global team. Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in chemical engineering, environmental engineering, geology, or hydrogeology. At least 8 years of consulting experience, with 15 years preferred, working on complex site investigation and remediation projects. Expertise in PFAS topics, including publications or conference presentations. Experience leading remediation projects and preparing detailed reports. Experience working with regulators and clients. Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and interpersonal skills. Up-to-date HAZWOPER 40-hour and OSHA 30-hour safety training. Compensation and Benefits
Annual base salary ranges from $147,670 to $198,032 USD, commensurate with experience and other factors. The role is eligible for performance bonuses. Benefits include paid time off, parental leave, health insurance, 401(k)/RRSP, and more. Application Process
