Job Summary
The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a federal work study student in the Political Science & International Affairs department on the Dahlonega campus. Assists in developing and disseminating department communications including but not limited to e-mails, social media posts, articles for department newsletters, development of related graphic design, initial drafts of letters for incoming students & other constituencies. May also assist with database functions related to PSIA strategic communications.
Responsibilities
Prepare social media and email posts Create & execute social media campaigns Interview students, faculty, alumni and other constituents in person or via electronic means Write articles for public dissemination via Newsletter and department homepage Other duties as assigned, including working with spreadsheets and databases
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel; ability to learn graphic design and social media related software associated with department communications Ability to work as part of a collaborative team
Required Qualifications
Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker.
