Job Description: Broadcom is seeking a talented and passionate Field Applications Engineer to join the Sales team and support the world’s leading Cloud Service Providers, OEMs, and Channel customers. This role involves working with clients to design solutions using Broadcom Ethernet-based NIC products, understanding their requirements, and proposing solutions. You will provide customer training on tools and design guidelines, assist with customer issues, and advocate for product enhancements internally. Responsibilities: Collaborate with customers and Broadcom’s System Applications Engineers to analyze, debug, and resolve issues within Broadcom’s Ethernet-based NIC products. Assist OEM and Cloud customers in integrating Broadcom’s NIC products into platforms such as GP-GPUs, AI/ML, storage servers, and custom designs. Guide customers through the design process, including architecture and schematic reviews, design-in support, and training on product features. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal teams to advocate for new features and expedite defect fixes. Train customers on tools, software, and applications related to NIC products. Provide on-site support as needed for training and debugging critical issues. Travel occasionally as required. Requirements/Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field; Master’s preferred. At least 8 years of experience working with Cloud service providers and server OEMs on Ethernet-based NIC product design for Server and AI applications. Practical knowledge of high-speed protocols like Ethernet. Experience with silicon bring-up and debugging in customer systems. Excellent communication skills in English. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Customer-focused, goal-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of working independently. Ability to maintain focus in a dynamic environment. Strong interpersonal skills for technical communication with customers and teams. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with x86 and ARM processors. Background in embedded software debugging or development (firmware, drivers, BIOS). Experience designing components for GenAI platforms. Proficiency with software development tools and scripting languages. Additional Job Details: The On Target Earnings (OTE) range is $139,000 - $222,000, including sales incentives and potential equity awards.
