This position is in Nashville, TN. About the Role: We’re looking for a
Product Compliance Engineer
to join our Nashville team. In this role, you’ll make sure our water heating and cooling products meet safety and performance standards. You’ll work with our product development teams, guide them through the certification process, and lead a small team of lab technicians. This is a hands-on role where you’ll test products, work with third-party agencies, and help us meet strict safety and quality goals. What You’ll Do: Manage testing and certification for products made in Nashville and at global partners Lead lab technicians who test and evaluate prototypes Work with product development teams to set goals and keep projects on track Understand and apply product safety and performance standards (UL, ANSI, DOE, etc.) Work directly with outside certification agencies to secure product certifications Maintain lab certifications (ISO 17025) and follow OSHA safety guidelines Support field trials and maintain a clean, safe lab environment What We’re Looking For: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials, or a related field Experience working with product certification and third-party agencies Knowledge of UL, CSA, ANSI, NSF, DOE standards and safety regulations Strong mechanical, electrical, and plumbing skills At least 2 years of experience leading people in a lab or product development environment Experience managing an ISO 17025-certified lab is a big plus Why Join Hayward?
