The Senior Financial Analyst will provide financial leadership to field operation and corporate teams based throughout the United States. This hands-on position is responsible for financial reporting and analysis. In this role you will support new business sales costings, financial planning and forecasting, analysis of existing business through trends, key performance indicators and variances, preparation of annual budgets and recommendations for process improvements. Support the Corporate Controller and Senior team in decision making. Take an active role in supporting the Senior operational team and Sales team in client negotiations and proposals for new and existing contracts. As needed develop good working relationships with the finance and other contacts of key clients. Partner with Operations to assist with preparation of project annual budgets, monthly financial forecasts, support for new business and provide insight into financial variances. Deliver a strong management review and control process with the Corporate Controller. This process will need to be hands on and actively engage functional specialists as required. Work cross functionally to drive process improvements and automation. Develop both internal and external high-quality client facing reports that measure financial performance and KPIs that provide context and insight. Work closely with key contracts in the line of business and ensures performance is fully understood in detail and addressed in P&L performance. Uphold the highest of ethical standards and ensure the financial control environment is properly implemented and monitored through the P&L. Analyze and interpret all contractual requirements and evaluate all contracts associated with the projects. Apply a broad knowledge of general accounting, cost accounting and financial analysis techniques for a variety of complex financial and business problems. Support the project teams regarding contract modifications, compliance, payments, reports and any other duties related to the projects. Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support. Monitor accounts receivable and support sales and operations with collection efforts. Provide assistance during the monthly financial closing process by analyzing projects and adhering to the monthly close schedule. Prepare journal entries and perform account reconciliations as it relates to the projects. Possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, be intellectually curious and thrive in a fast-paced environment on cross-functional teams. Education, Certification, Abilities & Experience
Education - Certification: Bachelors Degree, CPA or advanced degree preferred. Experience - 5+ years finance experience in high growth multi state organization. Technical - Demonstrated technical skills in GAAP, regulatory compliance, internal controls, process improvement, project accounting, job costing, and Workday Finance and Adaptive. Strategic - Demonstrated ability to establish strategic objectives based on changing needs of business, industry and clients while continuing to drive short term objectives. Business Acumen - Strong business acumen with demonstrated ability to identify, analyze and implement solutions and procedural changes to improve operational efficiencies and effectiveness. 5+ years related managerial finance analysis experience with strong analytic and problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Service industry experience a strong plus. Work Environment
