Job Title: Firmware Embedded Engineer Location: Houston, TX Job Type: Full-Time Job Summary: We are looking for a Firmware Embedded Engineer with strong expertise in x86 architecture and UEFI BIOS development. The ideal candidate will be involved in developing, debugging, and validating BIOS firmware for next-generation hardware platforms . Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain UEFI BIOS firmware for x86-based systems. Work on hardware bring-up, board initialization, and peripheral interface support (PCIe, USB, I2C, etc.). Debug and resolve firmware-level issues across hardware and OS layers. Collaborate with hardware, platform, and validation teams to ensure seamless integration. Requirements: 6+ years of experience in firmware/BIOS development on x86 platforms. Proficient in C/C++, UEFI/EDK2, and low-level hardware interaction. Strong debugging skills using tools like ITP, JTAG, or serial console. Knowledge of ACPI, SMBIOS, secure boot, and platform security concepts. Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field Seniority level
