Job Purpose:
The Member Engagement Coordinator is responsible for recruitment and retention of members through high-quality customer care. This role involves face-to-face recruitment in the field (half-time, shared with a full-time Oahu-based Membership Recruitment Coordinator) and customer care for new and existing volunteers via phone and Salesforce case management. Job Responsibilities: Collaborate with the Membership Recruitment Coordinator on Oahu to identify, cultivate, and execute year-round recruitment events at schools and community sites, utilizing national campaigns and partnerships. Organize, promote, and attend bi-monthly recruitment events in partnership with schools, community centers, and organizations to attract prospective members and volunteers. These events may require evening and weekend schedules. Develop prospects and leads for conversion to members; build and maintain relationships with community organizations, schools, faith-based institutions, and volunteers to support membership growth. Make daily cold contacts via phone, email, and video calls; follow up with warm leads to meet membership goals. Maintain strong relationships with volunteers through various communication channels and assist with conflict resolution as needed. Provide high-quality customer service by managing on-call availability, answering inquiries, and learning all aspects of membership, program, and retail operations. Support Girl Scouts of Hawaii staff with internal and external activities. Attend required trainings, meetings, and events, including weekends and evenings as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience. Goal-oriented with sales/marketing experience and proven results. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and follow-up skills. Experience with Girl Scouts as a volunteer is helpful but not required.
