Gaston Social Services: Protecting, caring for, and empowering children and adults who are temporarily or permanently unable to care for themselves through the administration of federal, state, and county programs focused on improving the well-being of our citizens. Examples of Duties
The duties listed below are not all that may be assigned but are those that are considered essential for an employee to perform.
Assists with monitoring and site visits on all WIOA Program Contractors and Career Center Staff for the WIOA programs, including Adult, Dislocated Worker, and Youth. Identifies errors and/or deficiencies in the following areas: programmatic, data validation, financial, and equal employment opportunities. Makes recommendations for improvements and training. Collects, analyzes, and systematically compiles technical and statistical information and develops necessary reports. Also maintains significant knowledge of resources for human services, employment, and training needs. Serves as the Super User in NCWorks. Reviews WIOA records to ensure state and federal compliance, runs reports, and ensures program record data is correct, responsible for oversight of timely exits of closed records in accordance with state policy. Monitors compliance of direct service providers and vendors in NCWorks. Review and interpret federal laws and state policy statements to develop local area policies and procedures for WIOA programs. Seeks competitive pricing and purchases office supplies and equipment for the WIOA program. Assists with Workforce Development Program activities such as job fairs, recruiting sessions, and/or employer workshops. Attends State and Local Area training as needed or required. Must be available to work mandatory emergency shelters & other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
4-year degree preferred or equivalent combination of education & experience in Social Service programs, Accounting, Quality Assurance, or Outreach. Valid drivers license
