Controller Position At Pro Waste Services, Inc.
On behalf of our client, Pro Waste Services, Inc., an Erie-based, fast-growing, family-owned waste and recycling company operating across Pennsylvania, Ohio, and New York, Decision Associates is seeking a dynamic, experienced controller to rebuild and lead its finance function. As a key member of the leadership team, the Controller will play a strategic and tactical role in improving financial reporting, implementing scalable systems, and instilling accountability across the organization. This role requires both financial depth and leadership strength, with the ability to bring order, insight, and discipline to a fast-paced, evolving business. Responsibilities: Review financial systems and identify opportunities for rebuilding/improvement. Oversee all core accounting functions: General Ledger, A/P, A/R, payroll, and cash flow. Own the budgeting and forecasting processand ensure reporting is timely, accurate, and decision-ready. Assess the finance team's skill sets to match company needs and scale, ensuring the right people are in the right seats. Partner with ownership to implement profit center reporting and long-term business planning. Serve as the go-to financial advisor, answering tough questions, guiding strategy, and enabling data-driven decision making. Collaborate with external CPAs and brokers to ensure compliance and financial stability.
