Are you a Geotechnical Engineer looking to make a significant impact on our projects? As a Geotechnical Engineer in our Construction Engineering Group, you will develop, analyze, and implement geotechnical design of temporary works for projects across the US & Canada. You will identify geotechnical considerations, formulate recommendations, and develop safe and economical designs that are compatible with contract documents, specifications, and regulatory requirements. The Construction Engineering Group focuses on the 'how' of constructing the work, with extensive experience in designing and constructing various temporary works.

Provide constructability and technical design input on temporary works construction designs to ensure compliance with contract specifications and regulatory requirements throughout all project phases. Design and draft construction means and methods for temporary works (pile-supported trestles, shoring, slope stability, settlement, bearing capacity, falsework, formwork, groundwater management, materials, etc.), ensuring completeness and accuracy with standards and specifications. Review personal and peer design elements to optimize project constructability, cost-effectiveness, and material quantities. Review and interpret project geotechnical data, design reports, plans, and specifications. Submit design for peer review or approval in a timely manner to avoid delays. Senior engineers or managers will seal designs following approval. Provide input for supplemental geotechnical explorations and laboratory testing based on project needs. What we are looking for
Master's Degree in Geotechnical Engineering required. Engineer in Training (EIT) or Engineer Intern (EI) required; Professional Engineering License (PE/PENG) preferred. 3+ years of experience in design and/or construction of infrastructure projects preferred. Understanding of soil mechanics principles. Proficiency in geotechnical software including slope stability (e.g., SLOPE/W, SLIDE), settlement (e.g., Settle3D), shoring, deep foundation analysis (e.g., APILE, SHAFT, LPILE), and pile driving analyses (e.g., GRLWEAP). Knowledge of AutoCAD, RISA, LARSA, MathCAD is a plus. Strong technical writing skills and understanding of constructability and construction practices. Ability to multitask and prioritize work independently. Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. This is an estimated salary range.
