This position is contingent upon contract award. Candidates must have an active Secret clearance and verify, before applying, that you meet the minimum requirements of the position. The Full Stack Developer will support the Army Training Information System (ATIS) by designing, developing, and implementing scalable web and software solutions. This position requires extensive experience with frontend and backend development, system architecture, and integration within a Department of Defense (DoD) environment. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver cutting-edge, user-centered applications for Army training and readiness management. System Design and Development: Lead the design, development, and implementation of full stack solutions, including frontend interfaces and backend systems. Develop and maintain robust APIs and data pipelines to support integration with external systems. Create scalable and maintainable software architectures that align with program requirements. Technical Leadership: Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior developers and cross-functional teams. Ensure adherence to software development best practices, coding standards, and security protocols. Conduct code reviews and oversee the deployment process in alignment with DevSecOps principles. Collaboration and Coordination: Collaborate with UI/UX designers, system architects, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions. Act as a technical liaison between developers and program leadership to ensure alignment with ATIS goals. Performance and Optimization: Monitor application performance and identify opportunities for optimization and scalability improvements. Implement strategies to improve application reliability, security, and user experience. Documentation and Compliance: Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams, API documentation, and user guides. Ensure solutions comply with DoD cybersecurity and regulatory requirements, including RMF and FedRAMP standards. Extensive experience with modern frontend frameworks (e.g., Angular, React) and backend technologies (e.g., Node.js, Python, Java). Proficiency in database development and management (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB). Strong understanding of cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Expertise in DevSecOps pipelines, including CI/CD workflows and automation tools. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on innovation. Education and Requirements:
Senior Level Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field or Master's degree in User Experience Design, Human Factors, or a related discipline. 10+ years of experience in full stack development with an emphasis on scalable, secure, and performant applications. Certification in a relevant technology stack (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer). Human-centered Design (HCD) Practitioner and SAFe Agilist or SAFe DevOps. CompTIA Security+ (IAT Level II). Journeyman Level Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field. 3-5+ years of experience in full stack development, including frontend and backend components. Certified User Experience Professional (CUXP) Current and active Secret security clearance Location flexible with preference to Ft. Eustis, Fort Belvoir or Fort Gregg-Adams.
