This role is responsible for driving the strategic direction and operational excellence of the Software Defined Factory (SDF) initiative. The successful candidate will focus on streamlining AWS and PTC-based infrastructure, leading enterprise-level edge and DevOps transformations, and improving the DevOps pipeline through automation and continuous optimization. What to Expect
Project Leadership
Define and execute a transformation roadmap for Edge and Cloud infrastructure.
Coordinate cross-functional teams and monitor project performance, risks, and milestones.
Drive adoption of Agile, Scrum, or hybrid methodologies as appropriate for project execution.
Build strong working relationships with Software Architects, Technical Leads, Product Owners, Product Managers, and UX Designers.
Technical Edge Platform & DevOps
Lead medium-scale infrastructure migrations, ensuring minimal disruption while optimizing for performance, security, and cost.
Define and refine
DevOps best practices , tools, and frameworks to improve development velocity and reliability.
Implement and manage
CI/CD pipelines
and automation strategies across the development lifecycle.
Continuously optimize cloud and edge infrastructure performance and cost-efficiency.
Manage vendor relationships, negotiate service agreements, and ensure optimal usage of cloud and DevOps tooling.
Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies to enhance developer productivity and operational resilience.
Establish standards and enforce best practices for infrastructure, deployment, and operations within the
IoT Platform .
Provide leadership in enterprise-scale
Edge computing
and
DevOps transformation initiatives .
Team Leadership
Coach, mentor, and develop engineering team members, supporting career progression and technical growth.
Provide clear performance feedback and facilitate regular communication with team members.
Foster a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and collaboration.
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
Over
10 years of experience
in IT infrastructure, cloud, and DevOps—preferably within manufacturing or plant environments.
Practical experience with
PTC Kepware
and
ThingWorx , including integration with
GitLab/GitHub CI/CD pipelines
and global release management.
Hands-on expertise with platforms and tools including: OpenStack VM ,
VMware ,
Red Hat OSV ,
CAAS (Container-as-a-Service)
infrastructure
Infrastructure automation:
Terraform, Ansible, Helm , etc.
Container orchestration and cloud-native platforms:
Kubernetes, OpenShift
Experience designing and managing
CAAS solutions
that support container-based application scaling and deployment.
Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS) and hybrid/multi-cloud strategies.
Deep expertise in
CI/CD toolchains
and
DevOps methodologies .
Solid understanding of database high availability and migration strategies (e.g., PostgreSQL, InfluxDB), including legacy modernization to cloud-native stacks.
Proven ability to lead
large-scale transformation projects
in complex enterprise environments.
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
