Head Coach Of Keene State College Men's Rugby
The Head Coach of Keene State College Men's Rugby is responsible for the leadership, development, and daily operations of the men's rugby program. This includes fostering a positive team culture, developing student-athletes, implementing effective training plans, and managing all competitive, administrative, and recruiting aspects of the team. The coach is expected to uphold the values of sportsmanship, academic accountability, and player growth, while advancing the program both on and off the field. Duties/Responsibilities: Conduct regular practice sessions; analyze team and player performance to identify areas for improvement; develop and implement game strategies and tactical plans; and provide constructive feedback and mentorship to players. Manage team discipline and conduct; ensure safety and proper maintenance of all rugby equipment; keep up to date with USA Rugby and NCR rule changes, trends, and compliance requirements; provide leadership and motivation to the team. Requirements: Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience: Proven experience playing and/or coaching rugby. In-depth knowledge of USA Rugby and NCR policies. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and oral communication skills. A genuine commitment to student-athletes, a passion for the game, and the ability to inspire and motivate. Required Licenses & Certifications: Valid US Driver's License Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Computer literate: ability to effectively use Microsoft Office Suite and various on-line platforms for scheduling, compliance, etc. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree Experience coach at the collegiate level Experience (or willingness to train) in understanding maintenance of wellness and mental health in contemporary student-athletes Keene State College is located in the scenic Monadnock region of Southwest New Hampshire and is an affiliate of the University System of New Hampshire. Located approximately 2 hours from Boston or Hartford CT, and 4 hours from New York City, the region contains many opportunities to enjoy outdoor recreation, cultural events, and a strong sense of community.
