We are seeking a skilled
Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS/MLS/MT)
to join our team in
Buffalo, NY . This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced, rewarding healthcare environment, performing critical laboratory tests that support patient care and diagnosis. Job Responsibilities:
Perform a wide range of laboratory tests, including hematology, microbiology, chemistry, and blood banking.
Analyze and interpret test results, providing accurate information to physicians and healthcare providers.
Ensure that laboratory equipment is maintained and calibrated regularly to meet operational standards.
Prepare and process specimens, ensuring proper documentation and handling in compliance with protocols.
Adhere to safety guidelines and infection control procedures, maintaining a safe and clean laboratory environment.
Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
Participate in quality improvement activities, ensuring that lab processes meet the highest standards.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support accurate diagnoses and treatment planning.
Qualifications:
Certification:
Certification as a
Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) ,
Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) , or
Medical Technologist (MT)
required.
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field.
Valid state licensure as required.
Prior experience in a laboratory setting is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level candidates.
Knowledge of laboratory testing procedures, safety protocols, and regulatory standards.
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with healthcare teams.
