Nursing Position
General Summary:
Department: System Float (System Staffing Office)
Schedule: PRN, Minimum 36 hours a month, Night shifts available (May work 8 or 12 hour shifts)
Hospital: Multiple. See below.
Must travel to all six hospitals in the system:
- Henry Ford St. John Hospital in Detroit
- Henry Ford Macomb-Oakland Hospital, Oakland Center in Madison Heights
- Henry Ford Macomb-Oakland Hospital, Macomb Center in Warren
- Henry Ford River District Hospital in East China
- Henry Ford Providence Hospital, Novi Campus in Novi
- Henry Ford Providence Hospital, Southfield Campus in Southfield
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform basic clinical and non-clinical patient care activities under supervision.
- Aid with movement and placement of patients.
- Assist patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living.
- Report findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
- Document necessary records.
- Keep patient rooms clean, orderly, and maintain medical equipment.
Education/Experience Required:
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
Certification/Licenses Required:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Nurse Aide credentialed from the Michigan Nurse Aide Registry preferred. Any issuing authority accepted.
