Phlebotomist
Place of Performance:
Seattle, WA
A-Team Solutions is seeking (1) Phlebotomist for the VA hospital in Seattle, WA. Monday-Thursday 8:30a--5p and Sunday 6a-2:30p both impatient and lab draw room. (1) Phlebotomist for the Main Lab Monday-Friday with weekend rotation 8:30a-5p. Holiday rotation 6a-2:30p.
Job Duties:
Perform venipuncture procedures on outpatient and inpatient veterans.
-Accession and process laboratory specimens in accordance with VA and College of American Pathologists regulations.
- Greet and log specimen orders in for outpatient veterans.
Requirements:
- High school graduate.
- Completed a National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS) certified phlebotomy training program.
- Minimum 1 year experience in phlebotomy in an inpatient or outpatient setting.
- Experience with accessioning of laboratory specimens
- Experience with processing of laboratory specimens
- Capable of reading standard operating procedures and adhering them to the current laboratory processes.
- Communicate clearly the daily status and problems about the laboratory output to team members and senior management of the service.
- Computer literate.
- Phlebotomy Technician (PBT), American Society of Clinical Pathology, or eligibility pending within 3 months of start date.
